Where have life's charming quirks and the joyful expressions on our faces disappeared to? Where are those features that, in the rush of falling in love, transform imperfection into perfection? Have the flaws that shape our unique selves been hidden away? Might there be undiscovered virtues beneath those distant, cold gazes? Why has the transparency of social networks stolen the uniqueness of the soul? Do we all yearn for days gone by, or for the people who gave those days a meaning?

We are more and more nostalgic for those ordinary things and strive for some simplicity because we are entangled in a web of high expectations and we're not sure, whose. A perfect nose, mouth, smile... Shaped body, under branded clothes, smiling next to the speedometer, so as not to be too aggressive, and yet to show that we are, OK.

Hug and kiss to the camera, glasses raised, toast to the camera, same smile again to the camera. We no longer know from who we should be liked, the lens, other people or ourselves?

Showing off for show, or sharing a true joy? That is the question we should ask ourselves when we look in the mirror. We are not sure what the truth is because we got lost in the spider's web that we didn't even begin to weave, but have become part of it by time.

We miss that imperfect world, of spontaneous people who strive for feeling and not showing.

Let's try to bring back even a fraction of it, and it will be, if anything, warmer because of the embrace of sincere feeling.
